Frequently asked questions about evaluations
FAQs
-
After the Court Order is received, the process for a mental health evaluation typically takes 6-8 weeks. Child Custody Evaluations are more involved and rely on the input of many more people. They typically take 8-12 weeks. If your report is needed sooner, I can expedite the writing process for a small fee.

People and families are naturally complex. In a busy court room environment it is difficult to tell your story in full. The evaluations I perform offer tremendous insight into the reasons for certain behaviors that may be causing you or others concern. My recommendations identify a specific plan aimed at moving you or your family in the healthiest direction.
-
I find that neutral, court-ordered evaluations go most smoothly when both parties are represented by counsel. I am unable to take cases in which one parent is pro se.
