Anxiety doesn’t have to get in the way of you living your life

Anxiety can be that uninvited guest that never seems to leave, keeping you from fully enjoying your life's many joys. Social anxiety might turn a simple gathering or speaking engagement into a Mount Everest of stress, making you feel isolated even in a crowd. Relationship struggles often arise as anxiety amplifies misunderstandings and stifles effective communication.

Stress from trying to juggle it all – work, family, a social life – can leave you feeling like a hamster on a wheel, exhausted but going nowhere. Overthinking becomes a default mode, where even the simplest decision feels like a monumental task. Being highly sensitive to others' needs is one of your many gifts, but when anxiety comes into play, it can lead to burnout as you neglect your own well-being. Trying to be everything to everyone, you end up stretching yourself too thin, causing more harm than good.

You have a road map for life but anxiety is constantly steering you off course, making every task seem more daunting than it needs to be. Those heart palpitations and racing thoughts? They're draining your energy and confidence, leaving you second-guessing every decision, big or small. When anxiety takes over, even the most thoughtful and bright individuals can feel paralyzed and stuck.

All these facets of anxiety create a fog that obscures your full potential, making daily life feel like an uphill battle.

The good news?

Life can be easier than it is today

You don't have to navigate this alone or let anxiety keep you from reaching your potential.

It doesn’t have to be this way. With the right strategies and support, you can overcome anxiety, build stronger relationships, navigate social settings with confidence, and achieve balance in your life. Therapy can equip you with the tools to transform those anxious thoughts into empowering actions, helping you move from merely surviving to truly thriving.

By addressing anxiety head-on, you can reclaim your ability to engage fully in social events, strengthen your relationships, and feel more balanced in your daily life. Therapy can give you tools to manage anxiety, turning those overwhelming mountains back into manageable hills. You deserve to live a life where you're not just surviving but thriving, free to be the awesome, capable person you truly are.

Feeling unsure about...

  • Social Anxiety

Do you feel awkward in social situations? You want to socialize but just don’t know what to say or feel like you’re being weird? Social anxiety is one of the most common forms of anxiety holding people back from feeling comfortable in their own skin.

  • Depression

Life just feels blah. Nights are sleepless or days feel exhausting. You want to have a good time but things are just off right now. Feeling down makes it hard to find balance, satisfaction and make decisions that really bring peace.

  • Work or School

The demands of work/school and the relentless pressure to excel can quickly add up, making it feel like you're constantly running on a treadmill that never slows down. This ongoing stress can lead to burnout and affect both your personal and professional life, leaving little room for relaxation and balance.

  • Parenting

As a parent you deeply love you kids and yearn for a strong connection. Yet sometimes you feel at a loss or completely burnt-out amid the daily pressures and challenges of parenting.

  • Coparenting

Co-parenting with a difficult ex can be incredibly challenging, as constant disagreements and tension can make it hard to maintain a stable and positive environment for the children. Navigating these conflicts requires patience, clear communication, and often, professional support.

  • Relationships

Relationships can be stressful when misunderstandings and anxiety creep in, often stemming from the pressure to make everyone happy. Balancing these emotional demands can leave you feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how to navigate conflict and maintain harmony.

Frequently asked questions about Anxiety Therapy

FAQs

  • A lot of people start therapy unsure where to begin or what to talk about. You can pretty much start anywhere. I am an experienced listener and will be paying close attention to help us land on the important stuff. The technical term for this kind of therapy is psychodynamic. Psychodynamic therapy takes into account not just the anxiety you are experiencing today, but also ways that your past and current relationships may be contributing to what you are experiencing and how you tend to approach problems. However, anxiety therapy almost always involves cognitive and behavioral skills as well. I have extensive experience in CBT and integrate evidence-based strategies into our conversations to get you the best and most long-lasting results.

  • I will help. We get started with an intake where I’ll be asking questions and guiding the conversation. As a therapist, I am skilled at noticing what’s really important to you so that you don’t have to come with an agenda or plan.

  • Anxiety can occur at any age. I specialize in therapy for children & adults. Anxiety therapy for children involves more of a focus on teaching children skills for managing anxiety wherever it is occurring. For example, a child who has a fear of school may have sessions at school, whereas an adult experiencing worries about their friendships might be better suited for talk therapy.
